Mangifera indica - Mango Seeds

Mango seeds are harvested from fully matured (ripe) fruit. Seeds are cleaned of all the fruit pulp and packed in with vermiculite in their bags. Seeds are shipped inside their seed coat unless otherwise requested.

Plant the seeds soon after arrival. The hard seed coat may be split, or if one prefers, plant in the seed coat as is. Seed availability is variable on variety and also year to year. For bulk orders, it is best to let us know far in advance to try and secure enough seeds for the order.

Mangifera indica - Mango Plants

Mango plants come in 2 types: seedlings and grafted. Seedling mango may or may not be true to parent as far as fruit quality goes. Grafted plants are clones of the parent and thus will be the same as the parent plant in every way. Note that climate plays an important role in fruit production. Fruit grown in the desert and fruit grown in the tropics may look different despite being from the same clone.
