Manihot esculenta - Cassava Plants
Cassava is a worldwide staple food, much in a similar regard as potatoes and rice. Made into all kinds of cooking and baking needs, it is also the source for many western accepted goodies like tapioca and bubble tea. The plant itself requires a warm climate and can be grown in drier regions with little care or maintenance. The tubers can be considered slightly poisonous and care should be taken when preparing it.
