In Vivariums: Leaves and fruit husks are good leaf litter additions. Isopods and other soil fauna feed on the decaying material. The fruit husks are quite spiny and probably unsuitable for amphibians and similar soft skinned animals. In Aquariums: Untested by us. General Appearance: The broken fruit husks add a very unique spiny texture to the soil with deep reddish brown colors. The leaves are spade shaped and dry to a medium brown. approximately 10-15cm long and 7-10cm wide. Long Term: The leaves decompose quickly when moist, the fruit husks can last a while longer on moist terrarium floors.
