The fruit pieces add and interesting look that allows for some pretty creative designs. In Vivariums: Leaves and fruit pieces are excellent for forest floors in tanks. Suitable for dart frogs all the way to desert vivariums. In Aquariums: Leaves and fruit cores/skins are very suitable to add tannins to aquariums. Depending on the look one is going for, they all add tannin and give a natural appearance. General Appearance: Leaves are 5-15cm long and about 5-10cm wide. Medium brown. The out shell of the fruit pods are long and pointed. The shape is not unlike a pear if it were sectioned lengthwise into 5. The fruit core is a unique looking unit. Hard to describe, please see photo. Long Term: Leaves generally last a month or less in an aquarium. The fruit husks and cores are much harder and thicker. Expect 1-3 years from them in an active tank. Other: For decorative arts & crafts related purchases, please let us know and we can quote the price for other forms of the products. For example, sun dried, machine dried, pressed (flat), whole dried for arrangements etc. Depending on production method, prices will vary as to the needs of the order. Note our mahogany is grown by our neighbors here in tropical Taiwan. At the time of this writing CITES is not required for mahogany products grown outside the Americas.
