Mimosa pudica - Sensitive Plant Seeds
Mimosa pudica, or sensitive plant, is famous around the globe due to their sensitive leaf closing mechanism. Unlike most plants which do not show readily visible signs of reaction to touch, this plant will close its fern like leaves upon touching them. This has given rise to the name "Sensitive" plant, as it closes its leaves when touched. The seeds are dried and able to be stored long periods of time.
Seeds should be treated either by hot water treatment or soaking for 1-2 days until the seeds start to swell, at which time they may be sowed into a well drained medium.
